the first picture is of katie and i about to leave for carnaval and the second is of the beach in puerto rico. the last picture is katie and cristal after a highly inappropriate cake fight on the deck. i put this one up because it's the last picture i have of cristal before she shaved her head on nepture day. so whenever you see a girl with a shaved head in my pictures, you know it's her. more updates on march 9 after south africa.

I'm going to a kind of carnival too, its called the St. Patrick's Day parade, then for a couple of pints at the St. Andrew's pub, hat better way to celebrate your Dad's 45th . . . yahoo . . .

Last night Charlie and I ordered Thai food from a new restaurant near us that we never tried. NEVER AGAIN! We both had stomach aches all night and other maladies I will spare you from hearing. Anyway, when you go to South Africa you should bring up topics in class discussion on the genocide in Darfur and a separate issue of "conflict" diamonds. I would love to hear what Tutu says about these things.

ok s i went to get my hair doen today and i tlaked to the lady about my little hairs that i thought were breaking but it turns out its just new hair and that hair only lasts 2-6 years and the average person loses over 100 strands a day. this made me happy because now i know that im not balding and my hair isnt breaking. it also made me think of you. hope south africa is awesome (im sure it will be.) xoxo
