happy valentines day! today we crossed the equator. i also had to buy more internet minutes. can you believe that just from updating this blog i used up 3 hours worth...thats how slow the internet is. hope everyone is happy and doing well. also, here are some pictures from puerto rico. they include el morro, old san juan and the rain forest. i'm not going to be able to set up webshots until we get to port this weekend and find an internet cafe. we set our clocks ahead last night for the third time. even though we have lots and lots of work and get very little sleep...everyone is happy and having a great time. i really love living on a boat. it allows for plentiful group time but it also offers the chance for some wonderful alone time. today i just laid on the deck and wrote in my journal after classes. it was glorious.. there's a scary storm chasing the boat but it hasn't hit yet. no one is sure if it will but many students are quite excited at the prospect of sleeping in their life jackets tonight. i havent gotten seasick at all yet so this might be my chance. as we pass neptune's throne- they constantly make announcements for us to put on sunblock...there are tons of sunburned kids all over the boat. LOVE YOU

Hi Jamie, we are all home today because there was an ice storm and its 13 degrees. Dad and I are painting your bathroom. Bella made purple cookies and Kyle vacillates between playing Wii and old movies like Star Wars. We loved the photos, looks like fun. Hope you don't get sea sick. Don't forget to budget your funds. I am at school and it is absolutely freezing and the snow isn't even pretty snow.... it's icy, choppy snow.

Zeb outgrew is infant car seat which should have lasted him longer but he is such a tub that we had to get another one. All the nurses at the pediatrician think he is so cute. Happy Valentine's Day!! Do you have any valentine's?? Zeb was my Valentine. Love, Pearl
hi jame! hope u are using ur sunblock and you are not one of those kids. having some passport difficulty over here secondary to the very intelligent people who work for the gov't. basically it's lost and i paid a bounty hunter $327 to go to the nat'l passport agency in philly to retrieve it. awesome. i just better be able to get on that plane next saturday. that's all i can say. i have been working nine days straight to pay for my trip. i hope i don't get sick. so how do you like brazil? i think you may be in the middle of mardi gras. don't get kidnapped please. nickie and i are getting excited for argentina. it should be a blast!!! we are gonna be in buones aires, then mendoza (wine country), then uruguay (different country). I'm gonna see the kiddies tomorrow after their visit to the museum. your dad is gonna also take measurements for my bar. i can't wait for that to be up. it sucks to always eat standing up. also getting my tv mount next week. cable has finally been installed. that's really it here. how are your classes? do they really exist or is it just a cover? did you find out what your plans are this summer? love you nicole
I just met the father of Kyle Cochran (Marymount College) who is on the ship with you. His Dad is a great guy, telling me all about the Taj Mahal trip. Look up Kyle, tell him his dad misses him and worries about him. He had been unable to access Kyle's blog and hasn't heard from him since PR. Send him an update. love you and be careful in Brazil
